Six Mantras to Keep You Happy and Healthy

With summer quickly approaching, that means the end of the school year is just around the corner. From pushing through those final weeks of school, time can seem to slip away and the days can easily become filled with stress. Choosing to remind ourselves of our self-worth, while also remembering to take a step back when life gets a little chaotic is something that everyone needs to do. Here are six mantras to inspire everyone to finish out the school year and the Girls on the Run season strong!

“You will never regret being kind”

Whether it's smiling at others, or complimenting someone, you have the ability to make someone’s day, whether you know it or not! 

“Stay focused and extra sparkly”

Always remember your goals, and strive to achieve them while still having fun! Treat yourself when you make progress, big or small, and always remember you can do anything you set your mind to!

“Be your own kind of beautiful”

Each and every girl is unique and beautiful in her own way. Remembering to embrace what makes you different from other girls, as well as supporting those who aren’t the same as you is very important. 

“Once you become fearless… life becomes limitless”

While life can seem a little scary at times, always remember to reach for your goals even if they scare you a little bit. Want to run for student council? Give it a try! Determined to run a 5k without stopping? Why not! Once you push away your fears, you will be amazed at what you can achieve. 

“Be somebody who makes everyone feel like a somebody”

You are never fully aware of problems your friends may be facing. In any situation, always look to include everyone to make them feel special and valued. Just carrying out one friendly gesture can reassure someone of their self-worth. 

“Choose kindness and laugh often” 

Somedays, things may not always go your way. However, we always have a choice of how we choose to react. When you have a bad day, seek to react kindly instead of negatively and always remember, kindness is contagious. 

While everyone has their stressful days, remembering to breathe is very important. Next time you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or fearful, read a couple of these mantras and remember, tomorrow is always a new day!
