The 2025 Board Survey Report provides data-driven insights into core board governance practices, levels of board engagement, and emerging board needs across the network. Findings are informed by responses from more than 1,000 individuals representing 156 councils, including 942 board members and 118 council directors who participated in the Fall 2025 board survey. Each section highlights key strengths, areas of opportunity, and detailed findings, complemented by a comprehensive appendix featuring all data visualizations for deeper analysis and reference.

Have you considered adding benefits to your compensation package but are unsure where to start? This two-part webinar series, designed for councils of all sizes, provides information, resources, and support on offering comprehensive benefits.
